The point is to share posts that the ideal demographic for your brand will find interesting and useful, rather than simply incessantly plugging your product or service.  

Provoke engagement

Social media is all about interactivity. Make the most of the tools available to encourage engagement in the form of likes, comments, and shares. Think promotional giveaways, competitions, surveys…   

Respond consistently

Interaction is a two-way street. Assign team members or an outsourced professional to moderate comments and DMs so potential customers who do engage aren’t left feeling ignored. It’s especially important to immediately address any negative public messages as even a single unanswered complaint can damage your brand.  

Target your market

As well as organic reach, use targeted marketing tools provided by social media powerhouses such as Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter to promote your brand and attract the right followers. This is one of the most cost effective and efficient means of drilling down to unearth your ideal customers in terms of location, age, interests, and other pertinent demographics.
